Gathering

The Rocky Mountain Haunters Annual Gathering generally consists of a similar setup and schedule. Starting with reuniting with old friends and catching up, to meeting new friends and welcoming them to the group. The Gathering offers builds and classes to help all of us, including all skill levels, an opportunity to grow our home haunts and decorations and learn new skills. While you are not required to stay the whole time, you may come and go as you need, we do have an food options that are able to be purchased at the same time you sign up for the rest of the builds. 

How does it work?

Once enough of the details have been figured out and decided upon, the sign-ups open up here on the website. 

Payment is taken via Paypal, you can pay with a Credit Card using Paypal without an actual Paypal account, or we do have Venmo as a payment option. 

Register for Builds

Once the sign-ups open up, you can come here to the website and select the builds you want to participate in at the Gathering. You will checkout and pay for everything on the site.

Wait for Info

After you have signed up, and before the actual Gathering, most likely the person that has volunteered to lead the build will reach out with instructions, tools needed, or potentially any necessary extra items you will need to bring.

Build your Prop

Come join us at the gathering, pay attention to the schedule to make sure you at least come when your selected builds are happening. Bring any tools, or extra parts needed to complete your build.

Socialize

All are welcome to join us at the gathering regardless of whether you sign up or not. We love reconnecting with old friends, and also meeting new friends. There are meal options that happen usually Friday for lunch, Friday for dinner, and Saturday for lunch. Make sure to sign up and pay for those to help contribute.

Things to remember:

Leads are all volunteer and each person spends a lot of time collecting parts, preparing the parts, and organizing the build. Any kit left over will be given a few attempts to get them to the owner before being refunded and resold. Builds are almost all only available before the Gathering and purchased online. Any kit for sell at the Gathering will be by chance and sold to the first person asking for it. Each lead can make more kits but is under no obligation to do so. Instructions for some builds are available online but may not be the exact build or parts sold in each kit. Please plan on collecting your kit the day of the build, attend the build scheduled, and keep to the instructions. Any kit not built day of may contact the build leader and hope they can help.

After the sign-ups close, the leads go to work to start buying all the parts needed to complete the build. The money gets spent pretty quick to make sure the parts and everything is received in time. Because of this, refunds are not given after the sign-ups close. If you situation or personal schedule has changed, please consider offering up your build on the social media pages to see if someone wants to buy your spot. 

The Schedule for the Gathering is subject to change, check back often for updates! We try to post the schedule on social media, send via the Google Group, and potentially via email.
